On the morning of August 2, the world's largest 3,500-ton self-propelled self-elevating offshore wind power installation platform held a groundbreaking ceremony in Nantong.The platform was designed and built by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry for Zhengli Haifa.

Ou Huisheng, President of Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., Li Ruixiang, Vice President and Chief Economist, Guan Tongxian, General Consultant of the Project, Zhang Honglin, President of Zhengli Marine Engineering Co., Ltd., Chen Renhui, Vice President, Chen Ruiping, Vice President, Xu Chun, Vice Chairman of Zhengli Marine Development (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., Gao Ling, President, Meng Jiefei, General Manager of Nantong Port Gate Shipyard, and relevant personnel of Zhengli Marine Engineering, Zhengli Marine Development, and Zhenhua Heavy Industry attended the ceremony.

In their joint speech, Xu Chun, Vice Chairman of Zhengli Haifa, and Gao Ling, President of Zhengli Haifa, said: "The captain is the key to the navigation of a ship, and the equipment is the key to the development of offshore engineering. Zhengli Haifa has set its development goal, and is brave to take actions and responsibilities, constantly improving the endogenous driving force of development. The construction of the 3500-ton offshore wind power installation platform of Zhengli Haifa will add a powerful tool for China's new energy capacity output and the cooperation of offshore wind power. It will promote the sustainable development of the industry. At the same time, inspired by the document of strengthening the private economy issued by the central government on July 14, Zhengli Haifa and Zhenhua Heavy Industry, with the mission of "national heavy equipment", are now in the right time to struggle.

In his speech, Ou Huisheng, President of Zhenhua Heavy Industry, said that the Zhengli Haifa 3500-ton offshore wind power installation platform is the largest lifting capacity and the most comprehensive operation platform among similar ships in the world.  He believed that the successful construction and operation of this project will surely elevate China's offshore wind power construction technology and equipment strength to a new height.It will make positive contributions to the 3060 dual carbon goal of the national 14th Five-Year Plan.In this regard, Zhenhua Heavy Industry will continue to carry forward the spirit of "daring to be the first and leading the world", strictly control the project progress and quality, and effectively make the project a benchmark product in the industry, demonstrating the strength of the enterprise and the responsibility of the central enterprise.

Introduction to the functions of the 3500-ton self-elevating and self-propelled offshore wind power installation platform of Zhengli Marine Engineering

1. The vessel is currently the world's largest self-elevating offshore operation platform with the highest lifting capacity and comprehensive operation capability among similar vessels.

2. It has the functions of large-diameter single pile and guide frame foundation construction, wind turbine installation, transportation and deck self-storage for deepwater 23 MW wind turbines.

Equipped with DP2 dynamic positioning system, it has the living conditions for 150 people and a speed of 8 knots.
